Celebration of Learning and Talent

This month began with a bash and is continuing to be so much fun for all of us in Grade-3. Beginning with preparing for the 'Bazaars of Hyderabad' and to witness it coming into reality in both the classrooms was marvelous. The buzzing streets of the 'Bazaars of Hyderabad' was much appreciated by all the spectators and visitors. It was a formative assessment for the students of Grade-3 and students from Grade-9 were the assessors. Each and every individual who came to the bazaars were appreciative of the hard work our students have invested in these markets, may it be their research finding or their presentations. Right from the students in Grade-1 to Grade 9, adults including teachers both from Junior and Senior schools, parents, Ms. Latha and Ms. Chloe were all in awe. October ends- November begins

Though it was a short week after Diwali we had loads of fun and learning. In Maths learning centers, students had the opportunity to recall and compute problems related to addition and subtraction using tic-tac-toe games. Some of them used manipulatives like counters to solve problems while others used whiteboards and markers and some of them chose to use mental strategies.  In the library lesson, Ms. Veena assigned an interesting task to students. They were asked to inquire about the following:  1. How are the libraries different from one another around the world? 2. When and where was the first library in the Aga Khan Academy and how has it changed over the years? 3. How will we preserve our library's books and resources for us to make it our heritage in the school?
