Field Trip and Other Updates of the Week

This week's highlight was our field trip. We went to Charminar to start with and then to Salar Jung Museum followed by Nizam's Museum.  Students enjoyed the fun trip and came back with a lot of learning and excitement. This field trip was arranged to enhance their understanding of our local heritage and to know more about the city of pearls- our very own “Hyderabad”. For Maths, students continued to work in pairs to research more about the strategies of addition and subtraction. Monday this week began with the assembly on launching the ‘Peace Week’. As we have the International Day of Peace on 21 st of September, Ms Latha, Ms Nivedita and I came up with some activities for the whole school- grade-wise and shared them with everyone through the assembly. Student council members helped us to introduce these activities to all. In ICT, students learned to create a timeline on an app called ‘Popplet lite’. They created their own life’s timeline initially. Later, the next day, they used the same app for their research on Heritage to create a timeline on ‘Rulers of Hyderabad’. The other centres were as follows:                 Identify shapes and patterns from the resource books provided and draw them in their books.  Research on the dressing style of people to compare and contrast east from west.
